At Domino's Australia, we believe that being part of a community means more than just selling pizzas. Across our network of over 700 stores, we're committed to making a positive impact in the communities we serve. From supporting local sports teams to participating in disaster relief efforts, our community initiatives reflect our values and commitment to giving back.

Domino's Give for Good

The Domino's Give for Good charity is the cornerstone of our community engagement efforts in Australia. Established in 2016, the charity has raised over $10 million to support initiatives across four key pillars: education and youth, leadership and entrepreneurship, rural communities, and disaster relief.

Key Achievements

Over the past year, Give for Good has:

  • Awarded 45 education grants to students facing financial hardship
  • Funded leadership programs for 120 young Australians
  • Supported 15 rural communities with infrastructure improvement projects
  • Provided emergency relief during the 2023 floods in Queensland and New South Wales

Every Domino's store in Australia contributes to Give for Good through regular fundraising events and a portion of profits from select menu items. This collective effort ensures that we can make a meaningful difference in communities nationwide.

Local Sports Sponsorships

Domino's Australia believes in the power of sports to build community connections and promote healthy lifestyles. Our local franchisees proudly sponsor hundreds of grassroots sports teams across the country, providing uniforms, equipment, and post-game meals.

Spotlight: Western Suburbs Junior Cricket

In Perth, five Domino's stores have joined forces to sponsor the Western Suburbs Junior Cricket Association, supporting over 1,200 young cricketers. Beyond financial support, the partnership includes pizza nights for volunteers, end-of-season celebrations, and "Player of the Match" awards featuring pizza vouchers.

"The Domino's sponsorship has been a game-changer for our club," says Sarah Williams, President of Western Suburbs Junior Cricket. "Not only has it reduced costs for families, but the pizza nights have become a favorite community tradition that brings everyone together."

Supporting All Abilities Sports

We're particularly proud of our partnerships with all-abilities sports organizations that create inclusive sporting opportunities. In Victoria, Domino's stores sponsor the All Abilities Basketball League, providing not just financial support but also volunteer staff members who assist during game days.

Feeding Those in Need

As a food service business, addressing food insecurity is a natural focus for our community efforts. Domino's Australia has established several initiatives to provide meals to those experiencing hardship.

Feed the Knead Program

Through our "Feed the Knead" program, Domino's stores identify local organizations serving vulnerable community members and provide regular pizza donations. Participating organizations include homeless shelters, youth centers, and domestic violence refuges.

In 2023, the program provided over 50,000 meals to Australians in need, with plans to expand to 75,000 meals in 2024.

Dough Raisers

Our "Dough Raiser" events allow community groups to host fundraising nights where a percentage of all sales during a designated period is donated to their cause. Schools, sports clubs, and community organizations can apply to host a Dough Raiser at their local Domino's, providing an easy and delicious way to raise funds.

Last year, Dough Raisers across Australia generated over $400,000 for local community causes.

Disaster Relief Efforts

When natural disasters strike Australian communities, Domino's is often among the first businesses to respond with practical support.

Flood Relief

During the devastating floods that affected Queensland and New South Wales in 2023, Domino's stores across the affected regions mobilized to provide meals for emergency service workers, volunteers, and displaced residents.

In Lismore, one of the hardest-hit areas, the local Domino's store operated from a generator to produce over 5,000 pizzas for the community in the week following the floods. Store team members, many of whom were affected by the floods themselves, worked tirelessly to ensure hot meals were available to those in need.

Bushfire Response

Domino's Australia maintains a dedicated Disaster Response Team that can be quickly deployed to support communities affected by bushfires. The team uses mobile pizza ovens to provide meals in areas where normal food service may be disrupted.

During the 2019-2020 Black Summer bushfires, this team served over 30,000 meals to firefighters, volunteers, and affected communities across four states.

Environmental Community Projects

Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond our operations to include community environmental initiatives.

Community Clean-Up Days

Domino's stores regularly organize and participate in local clean-up events, removing rubbish from beaches, parks, and waterways. In 2023, over 5,000 Domino's team members participated in clean-up events nationwide, collecting more than 15 tonnes of waste.

School Garden Projects

Several Domino's franchisees have partnered with local schools to establish vegetable gardens that teach students about sustainable food production. These partnerships often include pizza-making workshops using ingredients grown in the school gardens.

Youth Employment Initiatives

Domino's Australia is committed to creating employment opportunities for young Australians, particularly those facing barriers to entering the workforce.

First Job Program

Our "First Job" program works with high schools and youth organizations to provide structured work experience and employment opportunities for students. The program includes specialized training, mentorship, and flexible scheduling to accommodate school commitments.

In 2023, over 2,000 young Australians secured their first job through this initiative, learning valuable skills in customer service, food preparation, and teamwork.

Inclusive Employment

Domino's stores across Australia partner with disability employment services to create inclusive workplaces where people of all abilities can thrive. Stores implement accommodations and tailored training programs to ensure success for all team members.

"Working at Domino's has given me confidence and independence," says Michael, who joined the Domino's team in Adelaide through a disability employment partnership. "My colleagues and managers have been so supportive, and I love being part of the team."

Regional and Rural Support

Domino's recognizes the unique challenges faced by Australia's regional and rural communities and has developed specific initiatives to provide support.

Drought Relief

During periods of drought, Domino's stores in affected regions offer special pricing and free delivery to farming families, recognizing the financial pressures they face.

Rural Health Support

In partnership with Royal Flying Doctor Service, Domino's supports mobile health clinics that provide essential services to remote communities. In addition to financial contributions, Domino's often provides meals for healthcare workers and patients during clinic days.

How You Can Get Involved
